LEadeR …….We Are tHe Youth Of the Nation !!

After a delay in the release of  the much awaited movie, Shekar Kamulla’s “LEADER” drew everybody to the theaters even on a bandh hit day. Mickey J Mayer delivered yet again , and stands a good chance to be the front runner for this year’s Nandi Award for Music. The Music is subtle and well received by the audience. With a mature star cast, It would be apt to appreciate Shekhar Kamulla for being a good casting couch.

The movie is about a son of a corrupt chief minister, who wants his son to take his place as the authority of the state after his death. The movie starts with a CM’s convoy bomb blast where the Chief Minister(Suman) suffers 70% burns and moves into the state of coma.Rana, a Harvard graduate,CEO of a Fortune 500 company, son of chief minister(Suman) who is happy to be politically Naïve returns to India to visit his hospitalized dad.Subba Raju,a 30 year old head strong politician, who hails from the same political party, who dreams of being a Chief Minister takes this as an opportunity to to hold the post of Interim Chief Minister in the absence of the Injured chief minister. After a few hours in coma, Suman wakes up and speaks to Rana asking him to contest for the post of the chief minister. The next minute Suman breathes his last.Rana is approached by people with whom, his father hid all his black money which amounts to a whopping 20,000 Crore. What happens next ?Will he own the 20000 Crore Property and leave the state? Will he fulfill his father wish? Will he become the chief minister of state? Will he join politics ? Will be walk in his fathers footsteps of bribery and corruption?

You got to watch the movie to answer these questions! Final words,  A nice movie which dealt with a sensitive topic steals away a 4/5 for the movie and 5/5 for the music.Worth spending hard earned bucks !!

Uno: Gee Meh Teh …..eh ?

A broken finger, a sleepless night, an over confident a*** are some of the best things that can make you start your prep for THE test which could land you in the one of the prestigious B schools in the world.Ahh yeah, u got me…I am talking about the test which could change my fate, making me what I always dreamt of or Otherwise ;) .Yeah it is Gee Meh Teh or popularly known as GMAT.Before I start with what I am planning to do in order to score a 730+ in GMAT , here are some statistics.According to statistics compiled by GMAC the number of test takers per year (worldwide) over the past several years seems to have peaked in 2002 and fallen slightly every year since then:

2000 – 205,402
2001 – 236,994
2002 – 249,632
2003 – 218,037
2004 – 203,613
2005 (through May) – 85,379

That is past, Here are some intresting facts of today, yeah today !!

Beyond growing larger, the GMAT testing pool is becoming more international and increasingly diverse. According to analyses of the most recent GMAT testing year, which ran from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009, approximately 51 percent of the exams administered during the period were taken by citizens of nations other than the United States. This is the first time since the GMAT’s creation in 1954 that non-U.S. test takers have accounted for a majority of exams during a testing year.

The figures show that China and India have played a particularly large role in the globalization of management education. The number of GMAT exams taken by Chinese citizens rose 35 percent in testing year 2009 compared with the year before, to 23,550; the number is up 181 percent since 2005, when it was 8,393. Tests taken by citizens of India were up 7 percent in testing year 2009, to 30,633, capping a 128 percent increase during the past five years.

The number of GMAT exams taken by women hit a record 104,880 during testing year 2009, an increase of 36 percent during the past five years and the first time female test takers have exceeded 100,000 in a single testing year. The number of GMAT test takers under 24 grew to 79,577 in 2009, a 132 percent increase from 2005.

Testing volume among minorities is also increasing. The number of African Americans taking the GMAT is up 27 percent since 2005, to 10,751, while Hispanic American testing levels have grown 16 percent during the period, to 7,339. In addition, the number of exams administered to people with undergraduate backgrounds in fields other than business, such as journalism, medicine and English, is also growing rapidly.

Trip to Vizag from Kolkata…

Venue: s9, Second Class sleeper Coach

Howrah Mas mail.It is 12:00 a.m and the train started to move,a poor couple hurriedly boarded the train and slowly settled after a few minutes. They are a family of four with 2 kids. The Elder one being 4 years old and the younger 3-4 Months old, little cute gal.I slept after and a while till sun started to extend it hands to wake me in the morning.I took my Laptop and started posting my SP Jain interview experience on Pagalguy.A cute smile, a sweet tone interrupted me as the baby woke up and started playing. My I-wanna-Play-now instincts locked my laptop to play with the cute little gal.I just closed the lid and turned to look at her. What I saw made me a silent duck for a few moments. The kiddo could listen, speak but is cursed with Cataract.Yes you read it right, She is Blind. I felt as if the earth stopped and everything stood still ,n tears rolled.

As a child i always had several questions  for GOD which were left answered:|                                                 Why her?Why Poor? .She is  a kid,a cute little kid who never knew how the world looks and may  never know how it looks.I asked them if I could help them, but they said that they have consulted a doctor who would operate on her for free.

People, people people !!  I request you  to help people in need.We are happy, god gave us everything, let us share, share our happiness with the needy.A party fund donated, a donated rupee, a shared cloth, a heartful smile, anything which would help, help the needy.Act as if what you do makes a difference.  It does !!
